Type of project : Disruptive Project
Date (start/end) : 2015 - 2017
The PLEXMOS project aims at discovering new physical phenomena dealing with the light-matter interaction at the nanoscale, and at using the acquired fundamental understanding for prototyping new opto-electronic devices. It is based on the skills and know-how of researchers from CEMES and on an international collaboration with Rice University, Houston. Our objective is to bring together the plasmonic-based shaping of optical resonances and the unique opto-electronic properties of atomically thin dichalcogenide materials. Our approach paves the way to the engineering of new hybrid nano-photonic circuits.
