The ELECTRON project aims at studying the electronic properties of individual nanoobjects (NO) chemically grown and their potential application in nanoelectronic devices such as chemical sensors or non-linear components. In the challenging international context, the emergent consortium of five groups of NEXT proposes an unprecedent and very promising approach to overpass the technological issues to electrically connect individual NO as promising as Au nanowires and Pt nanostars (Figure 1). Articulated around i) the synthesis of NO of interest and the modulation of their physico-chemical properties, ii) the localization of NO by nanoxerography technique and their electrical addressing by stencil lithography and FEBID deposition and iii) the study of electronic transport in individual metallic NO, the ELECTRON project offers great potentiality and strong and fruitful collaboration between three laboratories of NEXT.
