The color of silicon-germanium nanowires

Researchers of Toulouse (CEMES), Grenoble (LTM) and Sfax have studied the scattering of light by isolated silicon-germanium nanowires. They showed that the nanowire color can be modified as function of the nanowire diameter, composition and dielectric environment.
